CG13DE Dizzy

sorry guys for more questions... but i was wondering how the distributer was attached to the CG13DE. in other words if i wanted to run a CG13DE with coilpacks (and post 2000 bosch ECU) would i need to use the rocker cover from my original CG10 or is there no real way of running a CG13 with no dizzy?

hey i get u a piccy when i got time but u cant stick the coil packs on the old rocker cover n the dizzy is bolted in to side of engine 2 bolts or 3 i cant remember im home now from london so msg me n i chat 2 u on msn bout this

To run a cg13 with coilpack you will need a donor mk4 engine for parts.

1) Change rocker covers over
2) Fill in hole were orginal dizzy went in
3) Change cam chain inspection plate for later model
4) Fit cam positioning sensor
5) Fit coilpacks
6) Change wiring loom to suit

Yes you do otherwise you wont be able to connect the coilpacks, they are ecu controlled

i know my ecu is a coilpack ecu

im currently running a cg10de post 2000, basically, i was gna drop a 1.4 in it but its like finding a fart in a tornado.

so, sorry to resurrect a dinosaur of a thread but if i put my coilpack head onto my cg13 bottom end, that should all be very nice and good?

yes because iirc you've already got the CG13 cams in. jobs a good en.
