Central locking..

Hi all, I'm new to this site...

My dear old nan drives a 1 litre P-reg Micra, this beast :grinning:

Now a while ago it got broke into, and the passenger side door lock is ######ed...at the moment it's been superglued back in but I question the security of it...oh and it got scratched up too, hence the stickers she decided to put on :wasntme:

A while ago I bought one of those central locking kits off eBay with the intention of using it in my Ford Escort, but found it was unsuitable due to the motors not having enough 'throw', just wondering if anyone knows if they'd be suitable to use in the Micra? Then I can de-lock the passenger door, and wire an alarm with remote central locking in too :)

first of all stop lying....

thats your car, dont be ashamed of it...

central locking kit should fit easy enough if its a universal kit...

swap your nan your escort for her micra ( take it from an old ford man ) you be better off

Can't fault that, only things shes spent on in about 8 years of owning it are tyres, brake pads, a bit of welding and oil changes etc :glance: It's having a new clutch in the next few days though...

Only thing I really dislike about it is the accelerator, not enough travel on it for my liking, just have to touch it and it revs like hell lol.

That is good, less time revving, the security on fords is a joke, any chav with a screwdriver can get in.
