superls K10 Tuner Dec 23, 2009 #1 right a quick question about carbs. if one was going to build a custom inlet manifold, does it matter which way around the carb is. 2 barrel carb, standard the 2 barrels run paralell to the bores, but can they sit purpendicular (at a right angle)? cheers scott

M MLC2 Ex. Club Member Dec 23, 2009 #2 If I understand you right your talking about turning the carb horizontally 90 degrees. This shouldn't make any difference but you want to try and design it so that you get smooth airflow drawing the same from both barrels

OP OP superls K10 Tuner Dec 24, 2009 #5 sorry should have been clearer, i mean taking the carb off and spining it 90 degrees either clockwise ot counter clockwise, so the air filter is still on the top, just the carb will be twisted around.
