Can't source a Thermostat housing (flange part), is it possible to repair cracked one?

Hi everyone,
I've overtightened my thermostat flange and cracked it. I thought it'd be easy to find a scrap replacement, but no, not at all.
It's cracked into two parts. Is it possible to repair? could a garage weld the part before bolting it back on?
If not, does anyone have a spare they could sell and post to me asap?
I have a K12 flange, which seems to ALMOST align with the three bolt holes, but not quite. Could I drill one (or 3?) of the holes a bit to line it up then cut out a full gasket from some suitable rubber I have?
I've got the MOT in about a week, so getting desperate.
Doesn't help I'm doing 6 12 hour night shifts this week either.
Any suggestions welcome.

Not sure I understand fully but that part is aluminium? If so welding will be expensive and there is some stuff that can glue this but it is not cheap either. I can't imagine you can not source a k12 for parts

I've called literally all scrap yards in a 50 mile radius, no K11's until I finally found one yesterday! I've now got the flange. Thanks for the replies.
