ok, can somone help me out here.

how are you suppose to time the stock cams on a cg13de engine.

i have done as the book said get it to TDC and set them so the inlet one is at 9 oclock and the exhaust one at 12 oclock. i did this first with the locating pins as it says, this didnt work, so i did it by the dots on them, this didnt work either.

i know it has two chains, but the lower one has not been disturbed and now im getting a bit ratty with it.

how do i time the cams properly, this is getting embaressing.

You'll need to set th lower one, and this is a ##### to do. I'll speak to Chie for you and get him to post up on how he did his :)

The drive pulley has a mark on it at TDC, this is a bit fiddly to do as it kinda wants to turn on a bit on it, just perserverence really.

If the chain hasn't come off the bottom pulley, it should work. Even if you didn't set it to TDC before taking the cams out, you can carefully rotate the engine with the head off and hold the chain taught (needs two people).
