I am thinking of getting Fox 3 Evo alloys:

(not from that company I may add, it was just the best picture!)

I have a choice of tyre upgrades and wondered what you thought.

The ones that come as standard with the alloys are:
195/50/15 Hankook K102

The one I can get at no extra cost are:
195/50/15 Falken ZE512

Then for extra cost I can get:
195/50/15 Yokohama A539 £20
195/50/15 Toyo T1-S £30
195/50/15 Yokohama AVS Sport £30
195/50/15 Bridgestone RE-720 £60
195/50/15 Bridgestone SO-3 £110
195/45/15 Falken ZE512 £40
195/45/15 Yokohama A539 £60
195/45/15 Yokohama Avs Sport £80
195/45/15 Toyo T1-S £80
195/45/15 Bridgestone RE-720 £130

The company also say it may be possible to get other makes but these are their recommended ones - so if you have a better tyre please say so.

Let me know which ones you would go for and why.

Also what the diff between 195/50/15 and 195/45/15?

Thanks

toyo T1R 195/45/15

the 45 means the overal diameter of the wheel/tyre will be a bit smaller, better for a micra fitment, also means better handling feel from a stiffer sidewall as its shorter "45"% of the width (195) rather than 50% of the width.

195/45/15's tend to be the better choice as they are lease likely to rub, and are closer to the original rolling radius of the standard wheels.

Most of those Tyre's are ok. Also look at Goodyear and Uniroyal also.

Personally I'm not a fan of Bridgestone at all.

I am getting them from www.revolution.eu.com unless I find them cheaper elsewhere. Revolution are only a 10 min drive from me so it is very convenient.
