Battery goes flat

Hi All
I have done a search on this but find no returns.
I was working on my micra for about 45 minutes, I had the radio on (not loud and doesnt have any additional amps) the immobiliser was still switched on. When I went to start the engine the battery was all but dead and needed bumping. Once started the engine was fine and the battery recharged no problem.

Is this normal, I wouldnt have thought a radio would have been that much of a drain?

Sounds like your battery may be getting towards the end of it's life. Either that or you've been doing loads of really short journeys :grinning:.

sounds like a dying batt. disconnect it and monitor its voltage with multimeter overnight. if its dropped alot below 12v after leaving overnight then its packed up.
