Back to the turbo days!

Hi guys!My name is Nik i'm 24 years of age and currently living in Greece..As the title say's i used to own a small turbo pocket-rocket(Daihatsu charade Gtti) due to some difficulties i had to give away(totalled) and moved on buying a suzuki ignis sport..Was happy with the Iggy but due to financial probs(got fired and stayed unemployed for more than a year)i had to give it away..Anyway everything is going right now and managed to get my self a small car(the micra k11 with 1.0litre goodness! lol )..I have loads of things hanging around due to the daihatsu i had (turbo,intercooler,blow-off valve ect.)and i'm consider a DIY light turbo,meaning i'm keeping stock internal's and combustion pressure..What i want to ask is are the stock injectors up to the task for pressure up 9-10 psi?If not are the cg1.3 injectors any bigger?If not again which will do the job without over-fuelling(sr20,cg1.4a,sr16)?Of course the ecu is going to be remapped what i'm looking is for a straight fit-bolt on if you prefer..
Also i would like to ask will the fuel pump be enough?Could i get away with bigger injectors and maybe a fuel pressure regulator?
Have everything else sorted out like water line feed,oil line feed,manifold ect..Sorry for the many questions at once guys..Thank's in advance..

You could use ga16 but most use larger

Of course the ecu is going to be remapped what i'm looking is for a straight fit-bolt on if you prefer..

nothing is bolt on when turboing a cg

it should be more than enough, I think only 2/3 people have swapped for a higher flow rate

Im using 370cc injectors and 80% of them is being used. I run 12psi daily theres just no way a 1.6 injector could handle that,as for buying fuel pressure regulators and fuel controllers youd be aswell getting a nistune board and do it properly
 
there is a huge amount of variables to consider when ur thinking of boosting that much, pushing the engine and car beyond it's intended spec closer towards failure.
any performance modding project is about the balance of budget, timescale, resource, effort, reliability, safety, legislation/MOT.

but I'll use mine as an example. originally I got the turbo setup from a previous owner so most of the hard work was done but here's a list of everything that needed upgrading/change.

I run 10psi, 160bhp, 160ftlb, standard 1.3 internals (up to now), using it daily with occasional track days.

I love the silence you get at the other end as they guys/girls head fails to comprehend the list of items you've just given him lol.

My 1.6 injectors are ok at 7 psi, though i'm backing it up with higher fuel rail pressure. Depends which way you want to go about it really....there's lots of variables because everyone has built their cars their own way. :)

I know, that's why I state at the beginning of any quote if they can support least 12 mods, most freak out.

then as I run down the list to the guy at adrian, sky etc, u can hear their tone sigh of boredom n lose the will to live lol :D excessive list yes but it's ... making sure :p
 
Many thank's for the replies!Guys all i'm looking for(for starter's) is to get turbocharged with a small budget and with small gains..(thinking small due to budget)I believe 8-10 psi is not much of a pressure and the engine can easily take it..I'm more concerned about optimal fuelling..Most likely i will be using a small turbo from a starlet(ct-9) with max boost up to 10psi-0.7bar(due to spring in the wastegate)..I know i could change a wastegate for one with a softer spring but there isn't much difference(pressure-wise)..
So bigger injector's(GA16) and a remap should be more than enough for this kind of pressure you say?
Last but not least...I read in a couple of thread's that the MAF sensor tend's to reach it's limit's no higher than 0.5 bar-7psi and
also that a MAF sensor from a s13-s14-200sx-Gti-r would be ok,so that's that...?
