Hi,are there 2 types of automatics on the K11....like 'normal' auto and the CVT...not sure?...thnks.

I could be wrong but I had assumed all the automatics had Continuously Variable Transmissions...
Yep think so as above, Up to 2000 powered magnetic clutch, later ones torque converter.
So anyone any opinions on the CVT transmission?.........good?
they are meant to be good more of a cruiser though not as quick acceleration from what I heard
My son has not had his long enough to form an opinion but it has 124000 miles on the clock and when I serviced the gearbox the fluid was clean as a whistle, not bad for £300.
Mines CVT, 1994 M reg 1.0 not changed the fluid yet, and going from the car it's had work done but only when REALLY needed, slowly as budget permits fixing things. Point is the gearbox is smooth as silk.
