Audio Fuse Draining Battery

Hi,

I hope someone might have had a similar problem to me.

I have a 2006 Micra SE 1.2, I've had it since 2007. About a week ago my CD player stopping reading the CDs but the radio still worked perfectly.

Then this morning the car just wouldn't start at all, the engine didn't turn at all but the headlights came back on.

I called out the AA and he did lots of tests, he found that the battery itself was fine but something was draining it. After trying absolutely everything we found it was the stereo as when the audio fuse was removed the drain stopped.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so did you end up replacing the whole stereo or just the fuse?

Where do you get replacement fuses, do I have to get them from Nissan garages? I always feel like I'm being massively ripped off by Nissan garages so I try and avoid them generally which is why I haven't just taken it straight in.

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated
Thanks
