Alternative way to brighten up you dials

Here's what a friend of mine from the Bulgarian Micra forum has done to brighten up his K11 dials:

nice! LEDs really should have a regulator attached to them otherwise they don't last long with a car battery supply, but a great job anyway,

there is another thing you can do, if you take the dial faces off, and sand the back of them so they are a little thinner, they get very bright.
