Actuator lock problem

Happy New Year

I have a 1999 4 door red sport bought for my son for when he passes his test.

The car has been stood on the drive for about 4 weeks. When we came to unlock the car the central locking wont work on the drivers door. We believe this is the actuator, and have stripped the door internally. But, we cannot get the drivers door to unlock manually at all, so it is locked shut full stop.

Can anyone please shed any light on how we can get the drivers door unlocked.

Or can the actuator be stripped from the door lock?

I have looked at the Haynes manual and to me it looks like we need the door open for access to unbolt the lock mechanism.

Have you tried spraying a load of WD40 on it?

I've tried spraying 3in one on the actuator rods, but do you mean in the actual key barrel lock?

If so then no not tried that.
