A new lambda issue.

My is 2002 K11 1.0, before I have found that my car has been a very thirsty, other day it went have a MOT it failed on emission test said could be the lambda. I have been took out the old lambda both were very rich mixture black on the end, the one of them was not worked after my test with blowtorch with a multimeter. So I purchase a both aftermarket lambda from eBay because the original is discontinued. Now I have light engine management come on when I acceleration above 2,800rpm. My diagnostic said a error code p0141 and the fume smell heavy petrol like a old car with choke on. I think the aftermarket lambda is not work well as the OEM? where would I find a better lambda it seems hard to find one now.

I have add pictures the rear sensor is 0258005295/296 the front is 0258005293/294 they are look different? new design or wrong one?

lambda sensors measure oxygen, as far as I know they're all pretty much the same thing - the only thing that differs is the length of the sensor and the thread (but I could be wrong on this)

Could it be that your catalytic converter is broken? If it has been running rich for a while there is a chance that the catalyst is no good now.

You can clean a lambda sensor by soaking in petrol

It could also be that there is a short or a faulty ground somewhere on the lambda circuit

I suspect that the error code p0141 is due to a failed heater circuit or a failed lambda sensor heater?

Inspect, test & verify the status of the various lambda sensors that you now have & also the operational status of the heater circuit wiring/power supply/connections.
