Hi,
I've had one of these since October and since then:
- Wipers randomly come on even when they're switched off. Sometimes using the indicators turns them off. Sometimes turning the fans on switches them off, but turning the fans back off turns the wipers back on.
- P0340 and P0011 fault codes. The car had major problems starting, it would hunt on idle, misfire, was down on power and used too much fuel. I had the cam position sensor replaced, however 2 or 3 days later the engine management light came back on. It apparently needs a new cam position sensor.
- Both headlights burnt out at the same time. Replaced the headlights.
The car only has 35,000 miles on the clock, but that doesn't mean it isn't one of the timing chain horror stories.
Maybe the electrical faults are a short somewhere? Are there common places where these occur? A ball and socket joint wore out over winter and it needed the wiper linkage replacing, and all of the faults have occurred since then. Could it be something the garage damaged fitting it?
