14" Steels and Tyres

Ok, stupid question, on my 01 k11 i have 14" steels that are currently fitted with 165/60 r14's. What i am after knowing is can i fit wider tyres to these rims, ie 185/55's and would i run into any problems under hard cornering? Things like side wall deformation more than normal. I like the look of steels, so if not i am guessing banded would be the way to go.

Ah nice one cheers frank. Dont suppose you know what the ride would be like on those. Dont wanna run around on tyres that feel like balloons when i chuck it into a hard corner
