is a 1.3 cylinder head a straight on to a 1.0l ?

as i am thinking of doing this as i can get a cylinder head from the scrap yard for £50 rather buying just the cams

yeh, the gasket aint cheap tho

might aswell jsut stick with changing the cams then

headgasket is about £15 for a cheap one and £40 for nissan, i recommend nissan

yep, dont get FAI cos they are crap, (ps jowley, those blueprint valve stem seals slipped straight on)

mmm think i might just put 1.3 cams in seems alot less work and money as things are tight at the min

1.3 cams for now would be good start, then maybe the cylinder head afterwards but i wouldnt buy any gaskets that aren't genuine

You have to take the cams out to take the head off, so you'd be saving no time whatsover and opening up to opportunity for more problems.

buy the head and keep it as spare, and just swap the buckets/shims and cams over
