1.2 spirits with idle problem need help

My 1.2 2006 Micra spirita has just developed a problem on idle which results in the car almost cutting out then races up to 1500rpm continuously. When the car is cold and first starts up it runs fine but as soon as it warms up it starts doing it again. Any ideas or help would be appreciated
