1.2 micra what oil?

Hi

I dont have the owner manual so I have no idea...
My car is a 55 plate 1.2 auto micra with the 59KW engine

Anyone could recommend me an oil?

I did some research and castrol says 10w40 but halfords says 5w30... so not sure which one to get..

I'd say either would be fine, I've had each in my engine over the last few years (55 plate 1.5 dci k9k)

I usually just get what's on offer as long as I recognise the name on the label
Ive used halford own most times but last year I had mazda oil and this year put in asda own brand, never had any issues.

I only change my oil once a year, if you do alot of miles every 6 months would be better

Would you follow same route with spark plugs? Any brand will do or get branded stuff?

I can get spark plugs for £8 on ebay and halfords recommends BOSCH £21

For spark plugs I'd get bosch or ngk
of course, my diesel doesn't have spark plugs
Ultimately it's up to you

If your plugs are Original equipment iridium then you should replace with same even though iridium's are more expensive they have very long service life (100,000 km/ 60,000 miles)

I have no idea whats in there at the moment.. Nor I know a lot about spark plug technology but I was just hoping to find out if its worth to buy premium plugs?

because you have to virtually strip the engine to get access to them
