lol, whats the sensor on the left side of the dash for then?

the stalk doesn't have an auto but theres a sensor on the dash board that i assumed was for auto lights. It has auto wipers for sure and the sensor for that is behind the rear view mirror.

Juan is right never full to the top, same with oil leave it in middle or to lower end of dip stick. Like 99% of things when they get warm they expand. Also use K-Seal if you have a slow leak, Don't use rad weld it's awful. K-Seal will even stop headgasket leaks on the water jackets.

Is it a smart key you have or a normal key? it could be the solenoid on the starter, where abouts are you?

Where abouts are you in the UK? From what I remember the bearing in the drum is a pressed bearing. I've not stripped the rears down on a k12 yet but pritty sure it is. I have a 20ton hydrolic press if you need to use it. I am in Manchester area.
