Yeah I know, I've done a few outer cv boots in my time but this was an inner and I kept putting it off again and again hence the need for a new driveshaft. Have checked a few local scrappies and they only have 1l shafts. Think I'm correct in saying until 1998 the 1l and 1.3l used different shafts?

I've been driving on a split inner CV boot for longer than I really should have and the inevitable has happened, need a new (well old, but good condition) driveshaft and hopefully someone here can help me out :)

Just a little update, have lost some more rear spring, colour coded boot handle, finished cutting out the original parcel shelf speaker covers to house my 6x9s, re-stuck bump strip from failed bump strip removal, and fitted my splitter (opinions?) Surprisingly it fits perfectly with no cutting...

Mark, I plan on dropping the back a bit more soon so will assess the clearance then :p I've got the wheel on now and front splitter (I'm not sure if I like the splitter but will post a pic up soon for you guys to critique) bump strip is also stuck back on but I haven't removed the tape holding...

Thought i'd hijack this thread instead of making a new one, I've just got the wheel off but when fitting the boss what happens to the air bag slip ring? Need to have some kind of contact for the horn am I right?

It's Laminex film, it's really easy to fit and the only thing you need which isn't included is a hair-drier (makes it easier to work around corners)

Only a little update, my Momo steering wheel now has a boss that fits so will be going on at the weekend, hopefully I don't blow my head off :) I'm also planning on the following cheap/free mods (saving for a holiday to Canada in May leaves little spare cash at the moment): Lose some more...
