    ok well that didn't go well, got a new pump and just put it in and I now have no power going to it. is there a dedicated fuse for the washer pump? the only one of relevance I can see is on the black fuse box in the bonnet cant see one here

    Bulls, no way is it the timing chain tensioner. The timing chain tensioner is controlled by a small spring only and there's no way it would make that noise. The timing chain tensioner is not controlled by oil pressure

    not that I don't trust the dippy blonde bird on the service desk reception but if I have a second hand keyfob, so not new. it cant just be recoded? only brand new fobs can be recoded
