    MAF Sensor again...

Seems to be a recurring theme on these forums. Anyway, I've posted a couple of times before RE my faulty MAF sensor. This is a facelift Micra with the Bosch TB - not the one that can be re-soldered. The original MAF got so bad, I couldn't get past a few MPH - unplugged it for a short trip...

    Stuttering Micra 2001 S 1.0 Problem

Note if you want to swap out the sensor for a new one, you'll need a set of Torx TS screwdriver bits. These are shaped like 5-sided stars with a hole in the middle. See here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003ALOG06/ref=oss_product Also be wary of the quality of aftermarket sensors...

How I fixed my P0171 system too lean and car has no power X Reg

Wow - identical to the problems I've been having with my X reg Micra. See my post here: http://www.micra.org.uk/threads/39979-Where-Can-I-Source-A-Genuine-Bosch-MAF-Sensor Long story short. P0171, no power, really struggles on motorway. Cleaned sensor down air intake (with it still in...

Where Can I Source A Genuine Bosch MAF Sensor?

So I got my sensor (eBay: £26) and Torx TS bits (Amazon: £10) through the post, and have successfully got it in place. Car felt a bit lumpy at lower speeds, but once I got on the motorway... "HELLO! Who put this rocket under the bonnet!?" Well... still only a 998cc but never run this well. (Y)...

Where Can I Source A Genuine Bosch MAF Sensor?

It's nice to hear a success story about one of the cheaper sensors available. I've found a set of the 5-sided Torx screwdriver bits on Amazon for less than £10 delivered, and I guess for the price it should be worth trying one of the cheap eBay ones. As always will keep you updated :wasntme:

Where Can I Source A Genuine Bosch MAF Sensor?

Hello :( Things took a turn for the worst today. Can't get the car past 20mph or so. Just coughs and splutters at me. It's definately the MAF sensor as I unplugged it temporarily and it ran like a dream. Plugged it back in and it's back to coughing. Been trying since I last posted to get...

Where Can I Source A Genuine Bosch MAF Sensor?

Been in touch with Andrew Page. They can supply the whole TB for £336 but not the sensor on its own :(

Where Can I Source A Genuine Bosch MAF Sensor?

Hi guys, Posted a while back about a possible dying MAF sensor. Long story short still getting P0171 system too lean and car has no power. Anyone know where I can source a genuine replacement? I've tried airmassmeters.com but they can't help. There are ones on eBay for ~£35 but aren't...

    Engine management light frustration

Hi again, Car has recently thrown up another code (this code reader of eBay has been a gem) The first one it threw a few weeks ago (twice in about a week) was: P0137 - O2 Sensor Circuit Low Volts (Bank 1 Sensor 2) (Lean condition) The one thrown yesterday was: P0171 - System Too Lean (Bank 1)...

    Engine management light frustration

Hi scouse boy. Believe me when I say I've done nothing but Google. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the procedure you stated for the old diagnostic system where the connection is in the fuse box? Bazz, I'm based in Bradford, Leeds and Huddersfield ish... thanks

    Engine management light frustration

Hi, My engine management light has recently come on - and stays lit. Is there a way to read the codes myself without paying the £30 - £40 quoted for a garage to do it? I have an x reg 2001 1.0 micra with the 16 pin connector under the steering wheel - not in the fuse box. I've read here and...

Speaker Question (Don't you love them)

Hey have an update as promised. Speakers wouldn't fit straight in place of the stock ones (as expected) as the mounting depth was too big, but after drilling a few holes to fit the brackets for the Alpines everything was plain sailing (Y) A snug fit and probably as good as I'm going to get...

Speaker Question (Don't you love them)

Hiii, I have a 2001 K11. I understand the mounting depth for the front speakers is 54mm maximum. I've found some speakers I want to buy (Alpine SPS-17C2) to replace the stock ones... but as these things go I believe they have a mounting depth of 56mm. Your initial reaction I am sure will be...
