ah i see what you mean. well my 'c' thingys are not removable. the 'c' on the gear change lever under the car body is welded to the shaft and then the knuckle is kinda riveted into the 'c'. i suppose if you open the box the g/box 'c' maybe turnable but i just found it easiest to cut the shaft...
