    Headlamp replacement

It is possible to remove the headlights without removing anything else, and I have shovels for hands too. :)

    Boot rattle

You don't have to go to either of those expenses jacabus. Naturally there will be flex when you're turning which may have contributed to the wear and will also cause you to hear the rattle more often if you've gone round a bend. The heavy tailgate is supported by 2 brackets at the top, but at...

    Boot rattle

Assuming it is the tailgate. It could possibly be a problem with the boot lock no longer closing tightly on the striker, in the form of lateral play due to wear. This would also explain why both adjusting the striker and the rubber stops and spacing the boot catch did not cure it, as whilst...

    Boot rattle

Not doubting that it isn't, are you certain it's the tailgate that's rattling? What is the rattle like? How often? Does it rattle a few times in succession (chatter) if you go over a speed bump for example?

    suspension noise

I got mine done at a Nissan garage so not cheap, just over £300! Obviously, yours might not be that but it's definitely worth checking. I've had lots of problems with the front end on mine over the last year and a half (steering and suspension wise). Which has cost ridiculous amounts of money.

    Steering wheel controls

If the relevant wires were there they would be fairly obvious coming from the spiral cable. Even if you got a spiral cable with the said wires for the steering wheel controls, I don't know whether this would make them work or if you would also need other parts?

    suspension noise

I had a knock on my k12 for ages (circa 3 years!), only just fixed and after numerous times in the garage where they were unable to find a fault. The knock was intermittent from the front and could be heard and also felt through the steering wheel. To cut a long story short the fault was...

    1.5 dCi turbo?

Wouldn't it be easy to just fit the more powerful 1.5 dci? The 1.5 dci also comes with circa 106bhp as standard - as found in the juke, qashqai, clio, megane etc etc......

Can't afford insurance so she is up for sale :(

4000 grand on mods and £4,500 for insurance seems extremely cheap to me. P.S. what you do for a living, spending £4 million pounds doing up a Micra?;)

    What is that?

On your windscreen wiper stalk do you have a setting for 'auto'? If you do you have auto wipers, they work via a rain sensor behind the windscreen. I usually leave my wipers in the auto position although they don't always work as I would like. I also have the auto lights on mine and they...

    new facelift micra

Personally I would have either kept the K12 or got something completely different. But, sincerely I hope you enjoy your brand new shiny car.:) BTW the launch for the new Note was tonight at my local Nissan dealer.

    What is that?

I also have that on my Active Luxury. Do you also have rain sensing wipers? I believe it is the rear housing of the rain sensor that is located at the top middle of the windscreen.

How to use speed warning system

I have this on my Active Luxury. You need to manually set the speed. It doesn't limit the speed of the car, it beeps when you exceed the speed you have set. As far as I can remember you press the button, drive to the speed you wish to set, press the button again and then every time you...

    Silly parts question

 Can anyone confirm please, are the bushes included when you buy a new genuine Nissan transverse link for a K12? The part number is 54501BC42A - Link compl-transverse, left-hand. As shown in the following diagram - illustration number 13 -...

    1.5 DCI idling speed

What year and model is your Micra Jade? My dci is fast, idles as it should apart from the rev needle surging when the engine is cold, but only in cold weather. I might have a leak in the air intake need to check it out. Mine does use oil though, need to top it up every 3 months.

What tyres do you use and why?

Corsa 50's - 185/50/16. They are terrible. If you don't want to die yet, don't buy them. Conti's in this size are £110+ fitted each (National Tyres charge £131)!!! Toyo's are decent, but don't last very long and other than that you are left with Kumho Ecsta's KH31's in this size, but I don't...

    160 SR in Arctic White

I like having the parking sensors, and the bluetooth with steering wheel controls is a good thing to have too imho. The auto lights are decent, but the auto wipers are a bit tempremental. The climate control is ok although not sure it's any better than the regular aircon. The heated seats...
