    Is 60k a decent mileage for a...

As long as the engine is serviced and doesn't run out of oil and you look after the cambelt - change every 60,000, the engine will just keep on running as a mechanic friend assures me. Body work is usually the issue. The gearboxes can be troublesom. Mine is at 105,000 miles and the engine is...

    theif caught

As I've said before, they should bring back capital punishment. Summary justice for all who mess with Micras. Oh man, oh man, this one is rough. I've been working on my Micra today. Found some rust over the inside wheel arch trim. Some water has got in somewhere, I think from above. It's...

    Sills

I think that depends on where you go. Most Micras are repaired around the sill. Mine has to be welded this year. I appreciate that you have a K11, but they aren't so vastly different. My mate, who also has a silver G-plate K10 had his done for £86. Mek that does mine will do for next MoT, he...

not had a good day...pictures speak for themselves

Bring back haning and flogging. Some pesky little rascals torched a friends K10a few weeks back. My research shows that hangning prevents repeat offences and for vandalising a Micra, I think the varmints should swing. Wouldn't happen in Texax. Lol.

    Costume help

Kewl! have you got a fancy dress hire/party shop nearby or friends in an am dram group? always a good start. Personally I always go out dressed as the King. Can't go wrong with Rhinestones and a burger man. I'm gonna have me a burger and pretty little thing backstage now man, onh-honh. Thang...

    Greetings From Ireland!

I know the feeling! mine has served for three generations I would hate to have to scrap it. Presumably you have help and somewhere to keep the car! which is more than I have. Still, a replacement door isn't expensive. I had to re-build my door. It's not structural so not a major worry. I will...

    cambelt for k10

Hi mate, I believe that the recommended service life of a cambelt is about 60,000. I think a rough guide is about £100 for this. I prefer to use local one man band type garages as they are genuine. Dude I go to is a gem. It's not a bad idea to get the cam belt checked anyway, if that snaps it...

    hello

:k10camper I'm Paul, I'm still knocking around in an old K10, it's a bit of a coffin dodger at the moment, but I'm hoping it will battle on through. I'm so glad there are other Micra fans out there, cos you know I've been isolated for years with the stigma of having a car for 'girls' or 'old...

How far have people gone in their k10's

Oh yeah! I totally agree with that. A run does 'em good, especially a long run. Gets the old oil flowing. As long as the radiator has water, the sump has oil. Mechanics recommend the occasional check on the wheel nuts with a wheel brace once in a while, just to make sure, but they are usually...

    Loose Gearstick...

The near side inner face is pretty much gone at the back aft of the floor pan. All K10's seem to be welded there. The bottom of the sill has a couple of small holes at the bottom. It's where the water splashes on it, you can't see without lying underneath or ramping and it's difficult to clean...

    Loose Gearstick...

No problems! good luck anyway. I expect you have a similar arrangement with an actuator rod which is forked and then pinned in place to the part that joins the gear box. It's a pin anyway, not a big job. I have to have my sill welded. Any similar experiences?

    Loose Gearstick...

I had a loose gear stick once on my K10. I don't know how similar the attachments are. It might be worth getting checked out. It got really sloppy. It seemed alright and then the pin came out of the fork arrangement and it disconnected. I was in first gear and obviously couldn't change gear...

    Photo's of Members K10's

:k10camper Some really nice K 10's there! I would like to chat to any K10 owners. Mine needs some attention but still going. I wish I'd known about the club sooner. Great stuff. I've just joined with Mr Moto, silver K10, '89 registered. I'll post some pickies when I've puzzled out the...
