At close (valve) I have zero gap between bucket and cam! Gauge won’t fit.. question can I use 1l head/cams and buckets on a 1.4 bottom?

Timing is spot on.. the head that’s been used came off a car that threw a rod through the block.. cylinder one gave the valves a love tap. But surely that wouldn’t give zero across the bored? It’s a 1.4 bottom end. 1l head with 1.4 cams and buckets could it also be the cams and buckets? Is it...

So head gasket went on my mate 1.4 turbo micra.. so changed the head gasket today (double) all timing spot on! Car won’t start.. checked compresson and bam zero across all 4 cylinders! Wtf could it be? Car was running this morning done every thing the same normally would on doing a micra head...

Just upped it to 8psi was 10 but was fuel cutting so gatta drop in these injectors

1.4 on a 1l box with a td04 turbo running 14” wheels.. bald tyres In wet with smashing 1st gear way to long ? 8.10secs . will re try in the dry with tyres that was with driver and passenger Timed on a iPhone 11.

All sorted guys frank was right the inlet could eat 1/8 of a turn out car is amazing off boost and insain on boost!

Also frank I have removed the carbon canister just by yanking it out ?‍♂️ Will that make a difference should I chuck it back in?

Okay that grate! If not then tdc the crank, pop the side cover off loser the tensioner adjust cams re do everything back up ?

Is there an easy way to check the cam timing without pulling the engine ?‍♂️

Is there things I should be checking? It’s on standard injectors atm also.. there’s no second lambda fitted as no bung in the exhaust stupid exhaust fab didn’t put one in! Would that matter as its post cat?!

Where’s all my boosted boys at ? need some advice with the car.. runs fine drives fine seems VERY slow like very slow off boost!

So today finally finished my 1l coil pack to a 1.4 coil pack on a 1l box. rebuilt engine with double head gasket with td04 turbo on a log manifold custom stainless turbo back exhaust 2.5” and fmic with custom solid pipe work. Running on waste gate pressure atm.. so seems very sluggish off...
