Rear Spoiler and New Front Crossmember for sale

Sadly our 1999 K11 finally succumbed to rust worm. I have a few spare parts available for sale. I have a tailgate spoiler in good condition painted in AJ4 Red I have a complete and unused replacement front crossmember, bought before I discovered the other bad corrosion. I have also have an...

Why can I never get the right parts.

I have a March 1999, T reg 1.0 Micra Inspiration but the problem is that whenever I buy parts for it, supplying the reg. no or chassis number. they often don't fit. The latest was an outer CV joint. where the driveshaft diameter was about 2mm less than the female side of the new CV joint. It...

    Another Water Drainage Thread

The colour is just a cheap rattle-can from Ebay over plastic primer. It doesn't look so good close up.

    Another Water Drainage Thread

I just tried the magnetic sign sheet from the link above. It will definately seal well, but its a two-person job to apply. It's not only magnetic, there is very strong contact adhesive too. Once you touch it to the body, thats it. You can peel it off (its tough) but the glue stays behind and...

    Front Crossmember.

I need to change the front crossmember. Instead of welding I am considering using 3M 8115 Body Adhesive. As its about £70 for 200ml before I make a final decision, has anyone got any helpful comments or advice on the subject. Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Timing Chain Rattle???

I didn't do the whole job, just the upper tensioner. I bought a full kit because it cost about the same as a tensioner alone, unless I was prepared to wait weeks for one to come from overseas. Here is the one I took off.: Clearly it needed doing, but it wasn't actually the source of the...

    Timing Chain Rattle???

Thanks for taking the trouble to provide the link. They have the part, and at a fair price too but it has to come from Japan and won't be here until the end of the month. Interestingly, they say it also fits Infiniti models M35 and Q45, whatever they are.

    Timing Chain Rattle???

Sadly, I could only afford a cheap timing-chain kit and they're not in it.

    Timing Chain Rattle???

There are two sealing o-rings that Haynes said I need to replace after taking off the timing chain cover. Research has revealed them as part no. 1506660U00 but I cannot find a source of supply in the UK. Even my local Nissan dealer couldn't help. Does anyone have any idea where I might get...

    Timing Chain Rattle???

Thanks Frank, I read your reply on another thread saying that the top chain alone is a 30 minute job (that'll still be 5 hours for me), presumably I can access it without the full Haynes manual tear-down? Can you provide any guidance? I'd like to check it before buying a full kit blindly.

    Timing Chain Rattle???

The car only does 1500 miles a year (all short journeys) and gets an annual oil and filter change, its only got about 75k on the clock.

    Timing Chain Rattle???

Semi-Synthetic, TripleQX, 10w-40. I recently did a full service and oil change and come to think of it the noise has been much worse since then.

    Timing Chain Rattle???

On cold start there is a noise, coming from near the alternator (but not from the alternator itself) that sounds like someone is rattling a spanner, at high speed, inside an empty tin can. It has become so loud that it has been known for people to rush over in car parks and warn my missus her...

PAS/Water pump drive belt - No Tensioner present?

Success!!! That last hidden bolt was the key. Once loosened the new belt was on within 5 minutes. Thanks again Frank and 1275. I'm very grateful to you for your help. To sum up for anyone else doing this. Under the car, loosen the two (14mm pivot) bolts at the bottom of the PAS, use a long...

Thanks to both 1275 & Frank, I'll have another look tomorrow (if we get a dry spell) and I'll report back.

PAS/Water pump drive belt - No Tensioner present?

I don't think there is a long adjusting bolt Frank, like the ones you get on the normal tensioners. Have a look at the last post on this thread https://www.micra.org.uk/threads/how-to-change-waterpump-powersteering-belt.32604/ The picture shows the same bolt we have been discussing and you can...

PAS/Water pump drive belt - No Tensioner present?

Hi Frank, I've since undone that bolt so far that I can turn it easily with my fingers and I can put my finger under the bracket to the right of the bolt with "4" written on it, and touch the other end, its not tensioning against anything.

PAS/Water pump drive belt - No Tensioner present?

The nightmare continues. following advice on some of the other threads...I unbolted the engine mount and raised the engine a few inches. I was then able to remove the water pump pulley and get the old belt off. But..... with the new belt in situ I cannot get the pulley back on. There is just not...

PAS/Water pump drive belt - No Tensioner present?

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply Frank. I've already been through both those threads from 1275's reply earlier. I've loosened what I believe is the right (Tensioner?) bolt at the top but there is still insufficient slack in the belt to get it off. There is no sign that anything is moving...
