    The £80 Micra

Looks like you've been doing some fairly complicated work there. I hope it pays off and tunes up ok. My plan for my intake is much less sophisticated. I was just going to fit a GA16 throttle and be done with it for the moment, but that will no doubt become a bottleneck at some point.

    The Scrubworks K11

I've been procrastinating a lot on the Micra, mostly due to the terrible weather, and also having to work on fixing other crap that I own. However, I did manage to find a set of wheels for the car. Now, I am very anal when it comes to wheels. I'm one of those people who actually pays attention...

    The £80 Micra

To be honest, learning to weld would be an excellent skill to have, especially as you will inevitably need to address corrosion issues at some point on your K11 if you keep it long enough. Only thing I will say, although that welder is a very attractive price, I wouldn't get a gasless MIG. They...

    The £80 Micra

PLEASE make the final airbox out of cardboard. That would be hilarious. Then paint it black and refer to it as a lightweight non-ferrous composite material.

    Scarab Micra

Neither of us has ever stickerbombed a car before. It took a while but it's such good fun.

    Scarab Micra

When Seinov says it had a full service history, he really means it. When I first bought this car, I looked through the service book, and every single space for a service stamp was filled, right to the end of the book, with stamps from main Nissan dealers. Never seen that before on any car. I...

    The £80 Micra

Double check the injector size thing with Tornado, they should know. That is, if they're finally picking up the phone . I'm honestly not sure about the fog light thing. In theory you're right, as long as the light is red it should be legal, but that said, I've seen a lot of JDM cars...

    The £80 Micra

That's super good for the price. Won't you need bigger injectors? The bike injectors are only meant to feed 600cc, and you have more than twice that. I suppose you could bump up the duty cycle to compensate, I dunno, I'm not a tuning expert :P. I really like your idea of putting a left hand...

    The £80 Micra

Damn son. Those bike throttles will be mega. I'm probably going to make do with a Primera throttle body for the time being.

    Next Steps Please!?

I apprenticed on classic cars. I really wanted to build a fast Mini in the old school way, but they're just too expensive now. I spent the same amount of money on my project Micra, and a donor car, as it would have cost me to buy a rebuilt 12G295 cylinder head! Add in the more advanced tech and...

    Next Steps Please!?

Yeah my choice of cams is similar. I'm going for 253 duration, but slightly less lift at 8.7mm. That's a matching pair of cams, but are mild enough to still make decent torque, hopefully. Although, I wouldn't mind a high powerband; I'm considering having the rotating assembly properly balanced...

    Next Steps Please!?

If you're removing the head for a skim you should definitely consider putting aftermarket cams in it. I gather they are worth their weight in gold. I'm building a CG13 in an NA style build very similar to yours, and the two main parts of my build are better cams from catcams, and using CG10...

    ECU Help

Shouldn't be too difficult. I'll just have to take a moment to identify the reversing light wires when I take the auto gearbox out, then cut/splice/solder/crimp as necessary to make them fit the reversing switch on the manual box :).

Hi Liam, what wheels do you have on your car? They seem very similar to what I'm looking for.

    The Scrubworks K11

Managed to find enough breaks in the horrible weather to fully strip the donor car of all the parts I needed, including swapping over the bootlids to make the project Micra all one colour again., and then some more, including the wiper assembly to fit to my flatmate's very early K11, as his...

    ECU Help

Thanks Robin, that's exactly what I needed. I suspected as much. I've actually had the idea to use the inhibitor switch as a security device using a hidden toggle switch.

    ECU Help

My question remains unanswered. Can anyone else who's done an auto to manual swap shed some light on this?

    Best lives for rev clock

That is a better idea, yes, although I've never had any problems going straight off the ignition feed. An inline fuse holder could always be added for extra safety.

    ECU Help

Hi everyone, I need a little info regarding the ECU in my 1996 P-reg car. It's a 1.3 auto that I am converting to manual using parts from a 1.0 litre car of the same sort of age. My question is, is there any difference between the ECU in an auto car that would hinder it or make it throw a tizzy...
