Videos can be misleading but it does sound quite bad... Take off the ancillary drive belt and start the car and see if the noise persists... If it doesn't, check the pulleys for lateral play and noise when spun If that sounds a bit much for your skill set then off to the local garage might be...

Hey guys hope everyone is well. I happened across a micra with the cga3 de engine. I'm canabalising some cosmetic parts from it for my wife's micra but curious if there would be any interest for me breaking it for parts? Could let the car go for a little over scrap value to anyone interested...

I've done customer brakes in the same way for years and years and never had a seized caliper or stuck pad a result of using copper grease but yes a dry lubes also do the trick

If it does need a clutch replacement there is a video on the same channel for that

Try adjusting the cable first, although if it were slack the pedal usually starts to feel a bit limp. If it is the bearing its a gearbox out job... If its making loud noise I wouldn't wait for it to go bang before looking into it

I just fill up my big jug with a hose connected to the fill plug and let it drain in on its own, if the gearbox had not been out for the clutch and rear main deal I'l wouldn't have bothered faffing with it

Just in case anyone else suffers this like ive seen before I hope this helps a bit

That's what I did in the end... I have plenty of tapered plugs lying around the shop but none of them fit quite right sadly

Hey everyone, Just doing a clutch on my k11 and the filler plug had been royally chewed up prior to me getting in there... Managed to eventually get it out after much smacking. I need a replacement but I can't find one for sale anywhere... Anybody know a good supplier? It's the 1. 0 coilpack...

The sump is only 6-8nm so it's very easy to over tighten... wouldn't use more than a 4mm bead of sealant at the very most - what plmval said is true of using a cork gasket or similar that can be pierced when crushed too much by uneven metal but when using sealant it should make a good seal...

Less is more when it comes to sealant.. I find most of the time leaks are caused when people use way too much... You can sometimes get away with reuse MLS gaskets but anything else is usually not reusable..

I think my mounts are done too, doesn't help that I always jack it up by the front cross member

What was the colour like?

I've always found it works quite nicely to use a t-handle and bit and hammer on it reasonably aggressively while turning and it comes loose... I don't like risking slipping with the torque of a breaker bar and stripping out of the plug... Glad you got it off
