    Controversial engine swap

Then you will need to uprate the suspension and brakes and also strengthen the chassis to cope otherwise you'll torque steer all over the road and that could be dangerous plus you'd have all that power you couldn't really put to use.

    Controversial engine swap

The SR20DE engine is nice. 148bhp is enough in a Micra surely. I don't know how hard it is to fit in a Micra but that would be my choice. On a side note, I was at JAE way back in 2005-ish I think it was and this mini pulled up on the Honda Revolutions stand I was part of. Then he opened his...

what did you do to your micra today ?

Do you mean you looked underneath the car and the washer pump was missing? If so, the only way to test it's working will be to get another. Breakers yard should have one. I believe they are the same on most Almera and Primera models of the same era though I might be incorrect.

    Fitting bucket seats

I would have thought the seat would sit far too low if you bolted it straight to the floor. Plus you really don't want to be bolting them to the floor unless your going to plate up the underside of the car. It's a catch 22 situation I'm afraid and my opinion would be that if you want bucket...

    Almera n15 gti seats fitting

Did the Almera seats ever get fitted correctly? If three of the 4 bolts fitted no problem I would have bolted a bracket or two to the original floor pan hole and married them up to the remaining seat rail hole. Or get a bracket into the original hole and clamp it around the seat rail. If three...

    Cutting Springs

I can't believe people would cut springs full stop. If you can't afford to lower the car then keep it safe and do it when you can afford to do so. Buy dedicated lowering springs at least. People have done it and got away with it but I personally would never recommend cutting springs to anyone...

what did you do to your micra today ?

Have you bled the air out of the coolant system? Have you recently changed the fuel filter? What oil did the car have before your oil change and what has it got now? How long since the last service? My oil filter was done up way to tight by the previous person who had the car serviced at a...

what did you do to your micra today ?

Bought some new NGK plugs and an oil filter in advance of the next oil change. Whenever I buy a car I always service it again anyway for my peace of mind unless the last service documents which oil/other parts were used. Luckily the air filter is still nice and clean and I have the oil already.

Thanks Dale. Was it an idea that you thought of yourself? If so, you did well to know it would fit.

    What do you drive?

I now own a 3 door '01 Mica 1.0S in red....well pinky red with 94,500 miles. Paid £300 for it. Runs nice. New battery yesterday and adjusted the throttle cable. Goes better already. Has bee serviced recently but will do it again in the New Year no doubt. This is a runabout car I bought so I can...

what did you do to your micra today ?

Fitted a set of wheels trims that my wifes car came with. They are Nissan Micra ones but from her '99 model. Two of the ones on my car have been stored away and the one two trims were binned as they were no good. Going to keep an eye out for the other odd two trims to get a full set again. Will...

    Rear bench seat covers

Looking at the ones in Halfords this morning it said to cut a hole in the marked points for the headrest holes to go through so I guess some of them will fit straight on without having to cut holes to the rear seats. That would be a good result.

    Rear bench seat covers

Hi all, Where can I buy a set of seat covers for the front and rear that has a rear backrest cover without holes for any headrests. Most of the sets I can see come with headrest covers so I assume the cover for the backrest part of the rear seats has holes in it for headrests. I don't just want...

Many thanks. Today I fitted a new battery. I think the old one would have lasted a little while longer but I took no chances. The new battery is a better version too. Managed to adjust the throttle cable, lubed it at both ends as well as the pedal spring. It's getting there and is much better...
