    North American PAO owners

Welcome. My car is the same as yours. I'm glad you intend to keep yours original. These cars lose their character very quickly when they are modified.

Headlights should in fact need to be adjusted. When you drive on the right side of the road the left headlight is suppose to be angled to the right a little to avoid blinding oncoming drivers. Vice versa for cars designed to drive on the left side of the road. Now in reality in the U.S. almost...

    Dead Group

Personally I think people should keep posting here. This is a well designed discussion forum website. There are people on Facebook, but Facebook sucks and was not designed to be a discussion forum.

Just got an 89 Pao - where is an English Owner's Manual??

You have some very nice cars. One thing you'll quickly discover about the Pao - good or bad, is that it generates a lot of attention, especially from females. You may find that it gets even more attention than your XK140 ever did. I really hate Facebook, but there is a Pao page on there with a...

Just got an 89 Pao - where is an English Owner's Manual??

I don't know anything about that. I wouldn't even consider swapping my motor. A big part of the appeal for me is the small motor and I like to keep old cars original.

Just got an 89 Pao - where is an English Owner's Manual??

I don't live in Louisville anymore, so you won't see my car there. The worse thing about these cars is the automatic. A 5-spd would be faster and more fun to drive, but those are hard to come by. My roof has shrunk too, but it still works, so I'm not too concerned about it. Yes, that is the...

Just got an 89 Pao - where is an English Owner's Manual??

I see you're in my hometown. Is that a 5-speed? I've never found any manuals for the Pao. I have a Micra owner's manual, Nissan Service Manual and a Haynes manual. The owner's manual and Nissan manual are for the 1.2 liter Micra that was imported into Canada, so some info is not correct. I got...

    Buying a Pao

My Pao has a rust spot on the metal beneath the door. It's only visible when you open the door. It rusted from the inside out. the paint is in good condition. I think this and other rust issues are common on these cars.

    Buying a Pao

The rocker panels can rust underneath the paint. Parts, especially body and interior parts, are hard to find and tremendously expensive.

Rear Hatch Glass Lift Supports Replacement DIY

Thanks for posting. I sent mine to LS Technologies in Saskatoon, Canada. I like to keep things original, so I was very happy that they came back looking almost exactly like the originals. I think they used 30 lbs of pressure.

NEW OWNER :-) - Parts required...

It looks like Amayama in Japan has the p/s pump, but it's extremely expensive. They have a listing for an o-ring, so maybe you can just replace your o-ring. Mcmaster is a good source for high quality o-rings. I ordered o-rings from them to fix a leaky windshield washer container on my Pao.

    Replacement Windshield?

I don't believe any new parts are available for the Pao. The only new parts seem to be those that are shared with the Micra. Maybe try contacting one of the historic auto clubs to see what people who own rare cars do in this situation.

HELP I need a new carburettor

I believe it would be the same carb as a 1989 era 1.0 liter Micra, so maybe post over in that forum.

Where do you get your parts?

Select the Canadian flag and the Micra will appear on the list. Unfortunately the 1.0 liter model no longer shows up, so you have to be careful ordering engine parts.

    Pao front bumper

I'm surprised that a brand new bumper was available. I thought the only parts still being made were those that are shared with the Micra.
