    Gettin' my top off

So annoyingly i have run out of time on this project. I have a £5k body kit arriving in the next two weeks, so it's got to go. I put it on eBay a couple of weeks ago, it sold but the guy since broke his arm so pulled out of the deal. Her it is if it is of interest to anyone? MSC discount for...

    CGA13 Engine - Distributor Move / Remove?

Um, seems a shame to start pulling a perfectly good engine apart. I was reading this which is what started me on this crazy path:- http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawiki/index.php?title=CG_engine Maybe a dizzyless engine would be a better idea. :) c.

    CGA13 Engine - Distributor Move / Remove?

Hey folks, Got a CGA13 engine that i'm looking to try and fit into a RWD Datsun, but i'm told the dizzy has to be relocated. Anyone any ideas on this, or is it possible to remove it and make the engine dizzyless? Thanks, Chris.

    Gettin' my top off

Well all the hard work is done, hoping someone will finish it off. Or maybe nobody will want it and I get to keep it! :)

    Gettin' my top off

Okay so almost a year round and it's looking increasingly like this car might have to go to make way for the Datsun (which is currently sat outdoors in a storage yard). Not to mention the body kit for the MR2 arriving imminently. Just testing the water really, it will likely go up on eBay with...

    Gettin' my top off

@Andy5077, finally got a pic of the manufacturer label! Also bought some wolfrace wheels with a plan to sell them on, but kinda liking them. Thoughts? (And yes it needs lowering)......

    Gettin' my top off

Picked it up 2nd hand, its pretty cool. It's on the narrowest setting and it just fits a Micra!

    NATS Components for 1.3 swap

Thanks frank, much appreciated. I did have a good rummage around when I got the ecu and loom out (pig of a job getting the tails through the bulkhead). There's a box bolted in front of the ecu, looks like the airbag controller? I know from other engine swaps theres sometimes an immob ECU...

    NATS Components for 1.3 swap

So, I've got the engine, loom, ecu, transponder ring module and of course the key. Any other parts I need before the car goes to the scrappers? Chris.

Engine out. Pretty straightforward aside from getting the loom through the bulkhead. What's the secret? Also got to use the lift to swap wheels around. Loving it!

    Gettin' my top off

Yep, its a scissor lift, you can crank it by hand but I'm planning on using a motor instead. Picked it up from a mate who was having a clear out.

    Gettin' my top off

So, back to it. This arrived:- Made some room in the garage by a) making a loft to hide stuff b) chopping up some pallets c) throwing stuff out. Then got the Micra into a suitable position. Time to get cracking! :) Chris.

    Breaking - 1999 K11 1.3 "Tommy"

Now the Red Micra "Tommy" is running, I will be breaking it for the engine and box, but theres a lot of bits i wont be using and proably wont bother saving. If anyone is in need of anything (cheap) PM me and make me an offer. Lots of good bits on this car. Chris.

Changing normal clocks to super s style clocks.

I just got a set and plugged them in and they worked. Try that first. If the rev counter doesn't work it's only one wire that carries the tacho signal. Chris. :)
