Workhorse becoming a classic? Worth to Restore? Where to get parts?

If you really want a mint one to keep you could look into importing one from Japan, quite a few still come up in the auctions there and are often completely rust free. A mint one will probably cost you a couple of hundred thousand yen - just a thought.

    Wiper spindles

The wipers on my car have been squeaking for a while now and after changing the wiper blades a couple of time I realised the spindles had loads of play in the plastic block thing which acts as a bearing for the spindles. There seems to be a dearth of spindle assemblies listed as available for...

CV Joints! After buying some standard joints for a 1.3 K11 with ABS and finding they don't fit because there are only 19 splines on the car drive shaft and 22 splines in the 1.3 Joint (though everything else is the same) I can now confirm standard K11 1.0 with ABS CV joints fit perfectly though...

Shock Absorbers - I need help

They don't! The outer splines and shafts are fine but the inner splines which fit onto the drive shafts are 2mm too big ie about 25mm but need to be 23mm. I'm still trying to track down the right ones.

Shock Absorbers - I need help

After several contradictory results / replies from factors I've just ordered a pair of normal K11 1.3 with ABS Blueprint outer CV joints. I'll post on the forum whether they fit or not.

Shock Absorbers - I need help

It's probably too late for you now but I fitted all 4 standard K11 shocks to mine with no problems.

Well impressive! Which engine management system are you using?

Found excellent suppliers and fitters of K11 hoods.

Has anybody else tried the Irish Danny supplied hoods? My Carhoods northern cover is all but knackered already, much of the internal gluing has come away now too.

It probably fits quite well though.

Found excellent suppliers and fitters of K11 hoods.

I take it you mean when you are ordering a new hood? When I was looking for one I investigated importing one from Japan. I found they were (at that time) available but after including shipping and import duty it cost as much as importing another car!

Found excellent suppliers and fitters of K11 hoods.

After a couple of years how do you feel about your hood now? My experience with Vic and Carhoods Northern didn't end well. They said they would bond my old heated glass window into the new hood so I agreed to the deal, they collected my car then after a few days told me the new hood would have...

    Unique to FHK11 Cabriolet Convertible

Wow, a soft top Viewt, I've long wanted one and I've scoured the jap auctions for a manual one without success in the past. I'd be a bit surprised if the drive shafts are different but then the headlights and many other bits are, including the engine management system so it's possible...but why...

    Unique to FHK11 Cabriolet Convertible

Hi Andy, these cars were all manufactured in 97/8 as far as I know - like the Figaro. There seems to be some small trim differences, for example my first one had a small storage tray between the seats but my current one has a centre arm rest with some clever rear cup holders though I don't know...

    She's a softie.

As something of a veteran top down Micra/March driver, I can assure you it does grow on you, people smile where ever you go. Once when I was driving through a very rough Sheffield estate in the evening, I stopped at some lights and a black BMW full of scarred tattooed lads who looked...

    Unique to FHK11 Cabriolet Convertible

I've had 2 of these cars, the first had such a good heater you could drive with the top down in winter. My current car had a rubbish heater so I followed the pollen filter fix shown elsewhere. Things on this car are slightly different in that there was no plastic cover to cut out (but there was...

Here is a pic from the docks (if I've don it right), I'll post some current ones when it stops raining.

    She's a softie.

I bought one just like that (but with knackered hood cover and a lot more rust) from Kent about 3.5 years ago. I enjoyed it so much that when it died at the end of last summer I imported another one from Japan- red this time with no rust. The last one had an amazing heater but this one is very...
