Worn engine mounts can make nasty noises but you would feel a powerful shake at idle. You can also shake the mounts by hand and see if the mounting is loose.

Yeah i had the dash taken out, its really easy and did not take that long.

for anyone who has the same problem it was the door hinges, i removed the small pin that holds the door open and the knocking ended:)

Hey! A week ago my k10 1989 1.2 Slx suddenly started to make a strange whining/humming noise when i accelerate. The noise wont come when i rev the engine in idle also it gets louder the more i accelerate. I took the alternator belt off and the car still made the strange noise i changed my timing...

As crazy as it sounds the door seems to be the source when i open the door the knocking stops. Got to take a look at it after i fixed my bigger problem clutch started slipp yesterday..

Gotta check mine choke to let me know if you solve the problem.

Hey! So i have had this knocking problem for about 2 weeks now. When i accelerate or brake i hear a loud knocking noise from the left front wheel i also hear the sound when i drive on uneven surface. Yesterday the noise was going crazy it started to knock when i drove down a flat road...but now...

Looks really nice and fresh! :) I would start off by painting bumpers red and then removing the side strips adhesive is a pain in the ass thought Also tint the windows! Cheers!

Intresting i changed my oil 7months ago and its still topped up and o haven't added any oil. How about the choke have you tested it?

i dont't know about valves condition I quess that if oil would be messing around whit the exhaust it should also affect on how the car runs after reaching normal temperature and i dont have any lack off power :o btw is your fuel consumption normal?

My 1989 MA12 does the exact same thing.. mine car starts fine but stalls if i don't hold the gas for a minute its worse at cold weathers does your micra do the same? Also the symptoms stop after the motor gets warm i just use the handbrake at lights so i can step on the gas ;)I tried to change...
