    Recall: ECM software

Chances are the cvt recall was a separate matter, my mother recieved a letter which fortunately she passed on to me to have the reflash done. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Faults at nearly 3 years old....

Micra px'd and gone.... replaced by a subaru impreza wrx. Unfortunately after driving a duke i was left disappointed and i didn't feel Nissan would be a long term reliable brand whilst associated with renault. **Removed non member can not offer items for sale** Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Faults at nearly 3 years old....

Glad to report nissan have acknowledged the issue and have booked the car in to have the wisbones replaced under goodwill. My faith in nissan has been restored and now means we are looking at replacing the micra with a 4wd dig-t juke in april :-) Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Faults at nearly 3 years old....

Hi, I am contacting you to express my total disgust at the premature failure of the lower wishbones on my Nissan Micra (reg **** ***). During a health check at a local dealer (Hammond Nissan, Suffolk) following a recall I was advised that my lower wishbone bushes had separated and required...

Faults at nearly 3 years old....

I've sourced wishbones and discs from euro car parts, genuine pads from ebay, will be fitting them on my next day off. Am tempted to contact nissan uk but they probably won't care. Let's face it, a car jointly designed with renault (useless) and made in india (useless) isn't exactly going to be...

Faults at nearly 3 years old....

Thought i would update this post as an ongoing thing. Car has been in for a recall due to the cvt software needing updating. Been told that the suspension lower arms need changing at only 25k for the bargain price of £500! Seriously disappointed in this but i guess it will need to be done soon...

    need some advice ,

No car sits 100% level. The micras got an odd stance for sure but theres probably a reason behind it. Lets face it the k13 cant handle any worse Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Faults at nearly 3 years old....

I've booked my micra 1.2 cvt visia in for its 3 year service and mot as my warranty expires in 25 days and I've had a couple of issues pop up recently: Knocking at low speed over speed bumps/pot holes (sounds like anti roll bar drop links), Rattle at cold start up that is rather loud and lasts...

    Nissan Micra K13

I average 43.5mpg day to day in my cvt 2011 micra if that helps? When I collected it I managed 400 miles out of a tank too with careful driving and a longish journey

Putting full tank all the times... Is it or am i wasting alot of fuel?

My first car was a mini advantage 1.0, that was when you could still get 4 star and the most it ever cost me to fill was £12. Jeebus I'm old :-(

Putting full tank all the times... Is it or am i wasting alot of fuel?

I always keep my tank full and top up once a week (about 18 quid a week). My mum lives nearly 300 miles away and I like to know I've got the juice to get to her if an emergency arises and I need to get there (she's poorly and accident prone).

    What's your profession?

Just spent a touch over 2 years as a maintenance operative on a holiday park (jack of all trades, master of none). Was a fun job, got to drive random vehicles such as a Lamborghini (unfortunately it was a tractor) and in the snow we drifted petrol utility buggies. I start Monday 8th as a motor...

    Service oil

Plus if you leave a plug in for 50,000 miles you may have an interesting time trying to remove it (I always use a touch of copper slip on the threads as a matter of course now)

    A question of MPG.

Some haven't even lasted one! Longest I've had was a ford puma (just sold it!) which I owned for 23 months. Used to buy cars I felt sorry for.... Expensive habit :/

    A question of MPG.

I've had over 40 cars from tuned celicas to a standard 1.0 mini and been driving over 12 years... The biggest factor on fuel consumption is how heavy your foot is :) Providing its running properly obviously!

    A question of MPG.

In some sense a small engine is a false economy for anything but low speed town driving. High speeds = higher rpm, more stress on engine, more wear and tear, higher initial purchase costs (due to perceived lower running costs). Ironically sometimes larger engined cars can be cheaper to insure...

Who's got a motorbike tucked up in their garage?

Naked GS, less to damage when I drop it!

Who's got a motorbike tucked up in their garage?

Got a gs500 that's used all year round for work apart from when there's ice on the roads. Nowt special but does the job and costs peanuts to run

what did you do to your micra today ?

Black grill toughens it up no end, I like :)

Interior light door setting not working

Is it the same for all doors? Check door switches (short them out), the switch on the light itself and associated wiring first and see how you get on.
