Could it be as simple as a rattling heat shield on the manifold? They tend to corrode, and get a bit loose around the bolts. And when the manifold heats up, the material expands just a tiny bit. Maybe enough to make something rattle when warm? Just a thought...

My first K11 1,3 was sold when it hit 425.000 km... (you do the math). Engine still running sweet, no oil or water use. Changed gearbox/clutch and throttle body during it's time. 130.000 miles is not necessarily an issue. :-)

It's probably just condensed water. Do you drive a lot in the city or shorter trips? If so, try and take your car for a long run, and let it get proper warmed through. That should get rid of the water. Probably no big deal.

I can't really remember how the clutch arm looks. But if it has an arm attached to the axle/spindle that goes into the gearbox (know what I mean?), the arm could maybe have been placed in the wrong position, when the clutch was changed? I don't know if it's even possible, but that would surely...
