Summons means if you're caught doing said speed in that zone then you will be hauled in front of the courts and are likely to get a ban
35MPH means that the ACPO have said cameras should be calibrated to flag people for a ticket at no less than 35MPH, but this is just a guideline and the...
It was pads and discs apparently... WHOOPS - much better now (got it done on Monday)
Got my tracking done as well, it appears my vibrating steering at high speeds wasn't just 'old car disease...' it's like a sports car now... well sort of ;)
Cheers for the help - and apologies for me...
I've taken the drive down home from Preston to Suffolk to see my folks, despite having a bit of a noisy micra at the moment...
Every now and then (not always) there is a bit of a noise from the front wheel area when applying the brakes, which sounds like metal on metal, almost...
Thanks for this guys - will pick up the stuff today
For catching the oil you say a washing up bowl... where can I take it once it's out? :)
Oh also - in haynes it recommends getting a bit of 5/16 inch hose so you can start the plugs back in by hand, assume this is good advice?
OK great thanks for those comments, much appreciated :)
I guess, Frank, that means that the 10mm/300mm spark plug wrench will be OK? If I'm not being too daft, 16mm across the flats = 10mm plug I think
My pockets aren't too deep as I'm just finishing uni - I'll go with what I can afford then...
Decided to give the car a bit of a service - not done it myself before but I'm feeling brave.
Couple of things, is this going to be OK to get the plugs out?
And does it matter what brand of oil and fuel filter I pick up? Or can...
Hi again guys
Filling up the forum with my questions - just while I get used to this car... honest
Just wondering - what on earth is this tube? And where should be it plugged in to? It is plugged into a small metal pipe almost directly underneath where the distributor is, and the other...

It then requires a bit of pressure to un-stick it, and all is well, for...
Thanks for your posts.
When you say feel the HT leads... I'm not sure what they should be like - they are 'solid' i.e. you can't squeeze them in but fairly flexible I assume this is a good thing?
We had the dizzy cap off the other week and sandpapered off some crud from the rotary arm and the...
Thanks for this - is that the resoldering you're talking about? With the guide here: http://www.micra.com.au/technical-articles/cg13de-throttle-body-resoldering-guide.php
If yes - what are the chances of me messing this up and shafting it altogether?
First post here and I know little to nothing about cars so please be gentle!
Me and gf picked up a Micra for £600 about a month ago, it's a perfect little car but does have one annoyance. It will stall (charge light comes on, followed by oil) as you put your foot on the clutch when...
