    2007 K12 Micra C+C Automatic

If your wheels àre incorrect, it could throw out the suspension geometry. Fractured springs sounds like something isn't right with the set up.

The standard wheels give a comfortable ride.

    2007 K12 Micra C+C Automatic

Hello, I don't think you have the correct wheels. I think they should be 185/55/16, same as the 160sr.. The circumference of yours would be similar, but not sure about the offset, if they are not standard, which might give you issues.

No cost air intake mod for 160sr

Exhaust and half intake removal made a noticeable difference. Like waking it up. Was advised a sports catalytic converter would improve it further, but didn't fancy cost. Anyone tried one?

No cost air intake mod for 160sr

You may already be aware. Had a sports exhaust fitted, and a kandn filter fitted. Took off air intake scoop, and the first half of long intake arm. Left with air box, and half wide duct ending halfway in engine bay never got around to fitting a Megan scoop and new ducting. Makes a big...

    Lowering AGAIN

What are you thinking of next? Saw a lovely reproduction mrk1 gti on ebay. I'd love one of those or a mk2. The repro one had a full restoration, and bare metal respray. Practically as new. Wants 10k for it. Seems a bargain, for an immaculate gti, all bar on documents.

    Lowering AGAIN

It's too nice a car to get rid? If it was mine, I'd have some black paint/detailing done, to make it look a bit more masculine, mind you, not black wheels. Sports exhaust and air filter modified, give it 2 or 3 good oil changes (with a few days in between each chamge), then drive it around...

    Lowering AGAIN

I only did the pro lowering, let alone sport. I noticed my wheels tipped slightly in at the top, when lowered. Did my head in, no desire to try it again.

    Lowering AGAIN

Your car looks great. Wish I could put up with the harsh ride I had. Mine was dangerous, car felt like it was bucking when going over pot holes. Don't understand why mine was so bad.

    Lowering AGAIN

Well done for persevering. Went back to 160sr springs. The valeo lights look brilliant, well worth the extra. Took off the first part of my air filter duct, and now can accelerate harder and quicker. Sports exhaust sounded good, but the extra power came with remiving the first duct, its quite...

The lowered micras do look great. Shame it didn't work out for me.

    Lowering

Reading up, possibly could have done with shorter ones. Tbh, I thought standard 160sr was a harsh ride. Pot holes are really bad around bristol. I thought about the geometry after I lowered it, and it rode so bad, that I decided I'd had enough, and wanted comfort. The b8s are better/stiffer than...

160SR owners, how many of us is here actively writing?

Been driving car without the first long part of the air intake. Its done the trick. Accelerates much more quickly. Even pulled some wheel spins by mistake. The neck at the start of the intake is very restrictive. No issues driving without part, but will do the Megan duct, with 70mm ducting...

    Lowering

I had the 30/30 eibach springs. I didn't drop the roll bar links, what do they do? Only dropped car by 3cms, but was quite violent going over worse pots holes, bouncing off them. I didn't think much of standard ride. The 185/60/14s made a big difference. Micra Sr wheels are really heavy. 14s...

    Lowering

Some food for thought. Recently replaced suspension and wheels on my 160sr. Used eibach Pro springs first, and standard shocks. Was virtually undrivable in town with pot holes. Had to run tyres at 20psi. Got 14 inch wheels fitted, with higher profile tyres. Slightly better. Then bilstein b8s...

There was a noticeable improvement driving without the first long intake.

I haven't done the work on the intake yet. I took the first long intake off earlier, and drove without it. Will not be as straightforward as I thought, as the second intake leading into the air box, is not a full circle diameter. I will need to make an intake for the whole length. The opening...

Will use 70mm ducting to connect the two.

Had the stainless cat back fitted, and the gan box. Sounds great, understated sports sound. Wasn't convinced made much difference to performance. However, I don't push it, as find eibach springs too harsh. Getting then replaced with old 160sr springs on Thurs. The bilstein b8s are staying, as...
