KYB Excel G gas shocks part numbers and availability

Hi all, the firmer shocks have killed off my already very old top mounts. K10 / FK10 top mounts seem to be few and far between these days. Anyone know if the K11 ones are compatible? ... I see that they are taller, but perhaps they would do the trick. Thanks. Edit: I found this thread which...

    The hybrid clutch thread

I think that these would probably work but it's £175 for the pair. I will pull the clutch out of my donor K10 engine and box and see what the centre looks like.

    The hybrid clutch thread

@LiamC You may be right... the annoying thing is, the clutches aren't with me, they are with a friend of mine who is a mechanic and was happy to order the them on his trade account and have a look for me... to save me ordering two potentially useless clutches at RRP.

I believe that this has been done with LuK clutches, so I ordered two that I thought might be compatible: LuK 180mm 18 tooth spline = 618 3033 00 LuK 160mm 16 tooth spline = 616 0947 60 Unfortunately these don't look workable...

    The hybrid clutch thread

So after some tips from Frank, my understanding is as follows, please correct me if I'm wrong... The K10 clutch is 160mm and has a 16 tooth spline The K11 clutch is 180mm and has an 18 tooth spline The goal is to make a hybrid of the two using the 180mm friction plate (K11) mounted to the...

    K10 steering lock to lock

I had a friend test his K10 Micra (manual rack) and it was 3.25 turns lock to lock... so the Fig rack is quicker.

    K10 steering lock to lock

Hi folks, I've heard that the PAS racks on the Figaros are quicker than the manual racks in most (all?) K10 Micras. I want to convert my Fig to a manual rack, but I don't want a slower rack. The Fig is 2.5 turns lock to lock, does anyone know the lock to lock of the Micras? Thanks.

KYB Excel G gas shocks part numbers and availability

I got the KYB Excel G gas shocks on yesterday with 35mm Pi lowering springs. She's handles much better now. 👍🏻 ... it could still do with an anti roll bar though!

K10 160mm performance clutch options in 2019... and strongest gearbox

I just don't get how a 180mm clutch can provide more bite on a flywheel with a 160mm friction surface... unless the K10 friction surface was oversized from factory. I guess I'll have to wait until I have all of the bits in front of me to understand it.

K10 160mm performance clutch options in 2019... and strongest gearbox

Ah, I see, I must've misunderstood. I didn't realise that the friction surface of the K10 flywheel would be compatible with the 180mm clutch. Makes things a lot easier if they can work together.
