  • Hi, my battery light on my March Cabriolet is staying on even after fully charging. It's just managing to charge under no load, but drops down as soon as sidelights on or blower on 1. It is original Bosch 65A with one bolt on + wire and the block connector with skinny power feed. Main question I can't find is how to remove it when the air con pipe is blocking its removal? Rupert (near Plymouth).

    Hey Rupe, and hello.
Test your battery under load (headlights on) should read 14 volts, if not a new battery, or alternator is 99% the fault buddy.
Don't worry about part numbers, any alternator will do, you just have to change the terminals to whichever one you source.
Best one to ask is andy 5077 he strips down everythig on his cabriolet.
    Cheers bud.

I've sent loads of stuff over your island LOL.
No fee buddy....I only ask for what it costs me.
Last one I found one of the boys on here had it for £30 so if I find one, it'll be around that + postage.

Bought a micra 1.0 auto for my missus about 3 years ago and loved it. Said I would have one for myself one day and now I have a 1.4
Have driven Jaguars all my life - well 25 years, the bigger the motor the happier I was. Had a couple of 6.0 V 12s, awesome lumps.
60 years old going on 80 - sometimes 18 again but getting less and less now. Retired at 50 but gone back to work through boredom.
