nissan micra k12 won't start

Hi i'm really hoping you can help as i'm stuck
I have a 2003 plate k12 Micra with around 80,000 miles on the clock, had it for 3 months and it been fine, but i was driving down the motorway and it cut out a week ago, I had to get the AA out and they couldn't find out the problem and i have since taken it to an auto electrician locally and there stuck.
when I turn the key the dash lights come on along with the immobilizer light that stays permanently on, the cooling fan starts going but when I turn it to start her up nothing happens, not even a noise from the starter motor, i have had the key checked and that is working fine. Is there a likely culprit?
I've also tried to have it diagnosed but it just comes up error
Any help would be extremely appreciated

has the auto electrician no tried a direct feed to the starter ben ?

Yes he's tried that and it spins but the car wont start

so the starter works ok then........has he checked for a spark ?

Yeah he's checked and there's no spark but the coils and spark plugs are fine

sounds like an ecu/canbus issue to me then ben ? goodluck with it

Oh that doesn't sound brilliant :/ I've never heard of a canbus though, what exactly is it?

Oh aswell just 4 days prior we had to change the two coils as they had gone I'm unsure if it is related at all

the communication error ben, the ecu bcm etc
the immobiliser usually just cuts the injector signal, so no flashing nats light and no spark wont be that eh

Thanks for all your help frank, I will have a word with the garage tomorrow with these ideas just hoping it doesn't cost the world in the end to fix but would be nice to find the problem first and have an idea
