'Nizonda' Pao K20

Hi Ya'll

Wanted to share this project with you all.

I purchased this Pao through Mitsui Co Ltd in Japan last August and i've been sitting on it for a while deciding what to do with it, this is my 5th Pao and wanted to make it a bit quicker and sound a bit different so decided to fit a Honda K20 engine/box and fit a set of 45mm Jenvey's with huge trumpets as I love the growl and thought with having a metal dash the sound would come through a treat, I had a lightened flywheel and competition clutch from my earlier EP3 and they all fit a treat. The conversion is being done by Gavin at Gsportscars here in Belfast and he's doing a proper job on it, im very pleased with his quality of work and he's got bundles of knowledge. Car is really straight but did have previous paint in Japan and was a couple of different colours of Nissan Ivory so will get it painted, front & rear bumper delete with all access holes filled and smoothed, roof bars deleted, will be slammed 75mm all-round on coilovers, want the slammed smooth look, interior all out for cleaning, seats all stripped and put through the washing machine with Vanish powder, came up like new, Just to give you a quick breakdown of cost so far:

Pao £1600
Shipping Insurance £40
Shipping to Dublin £950

Port of Dublin services
Clearance £45
Port Vat £25
T1 bond £75 (T1 bond req by UK HMRC when you move car from Dublin ➔ Belfast)

Customs Import Vat £597.76
Customs Import Duty £260.80
Customs Entry £45
Vat deferment fee £25

Transport the car from Dublin ➔ Belfast

Im having to get the inlet manifold made to suit the Jenvey's as mine are a 2 bolt fixing, Steve BOGG off the BOGG Bros is sorting that, meant to say car is very very good underneath but did req small patches around seat mounts on drivers side, rear quarters are excellent and sound.
If anyone is looking for something special/odd or super super rare have a look at www.tc-v.com (former Trade Car View) they even got 1972 GTR Skylines on there but NUTTY money!!

Few more pic's n info. Sourced a steering rack from a K10 as don't want power steering, small aluminium base plate cut to mount manual shifter managed to use cables & all linkages/shifter from the donor Honda, engine mounts all sorted, Pao's in excellent condition in and around engine bay, all metal 100% sound with no rust.

Exhaust and electrics/ecu all still to do, will probably use Syvecs plex lovely small bit of kit.

Here's one I sold earlier

Thanks for your interest.

Im using ACF-50 to treat all the seams, gets good reviews and nows the time to do it, will be a 'dry day car' and will be garaged 99% of the time due to living in Ireland. Picked up a Figaro wheel and painted couple of bits, www.automotivepaintsupplies.ie made me up a couple of Nissan Ivory aerosols which have come in a treat.

Exhaust manifold blasted n cleaned, wrapped, exhaust will be made-up over nx few days, driveshafts have been cut pinned and sleeved by lathe (I won't be ragging this little thing off the line as im 56 and mechanically sympathetic and treasure all my toys, just looking forward to hearing them Jenvey's sucking, hoping at about 160bhp & 750KG it should still be quite nippy, it's more about induction noise than speed and bhp with this project.

Stripped the seats and put some 1" thick foam under the original shaped seat then used cable ties (not visible) to reattach, washed them at 30 degrees using Vahish powder just to get rid of 30 year old dust, came up a treat.

Thank you for liking...............Shipping is not bad as I use Parcel Monkey (they buy empty space from Parcel Force) usually about 40% saving.

Managed to salvage the clutch pedal & cylinder off the donor, was a proper tight fit, and you how we all enjoy a tight fit!....it's coming together
