160 SR newbie owner

Hello everyone , so glad i found this site & i am now a fully fledged convert to the Micra 160 RS. I have joined the site as i have recently bought a 160 rs on an 06 plate . I am so pleased with how this wee car handles , recently driven from London to Liverpool & back & she is a joy to drive

It needs some cosmetic work & a few new parts .

I would first like to ask if there is a remap available for the car ?.
I need a new glove box as the catch has broken or can this be fixed ?
The multi function buttons on the steering wheel don`t work nor does the air con , i am getting a lot of condensation in the car

any advice on dealers or how too`s would be really appreciated .

Many thanks OV

Hi Old vinyl,

I've just seen a lovely looking 160SR for £999. Out of interest how much did you pay for yours and are you finding it reliable so far? I'd be interested in what MPG you are getting from it as well. I'm trying to work out if its a good match for my needs.

Thanks,

Chris

Terve Chris,

I bought mine 2014 from Netherlands, from there to Fin(e)land fuel comsumption was 5.6l/100km. I have chamged 5 bulbs, front dishes and pads and battery. 2014 vehicle had 78.000 km now 142000 km.
It starts without any problems from -30C to +30C. In my opinion really reliable so far, has always passed Finnish MOT.

Hello Chris, sorry but i cant answer on the MPG as i have never been interested in MPG on any of the cars ive ever owned . When it needs juice i fill it up is my attitude , but she`s not thirsty & a full tank is about £40 but thats from empty to full & depending where you buy , i never let it get below half full on any car . I like to drive her fast some days & others less so. So many factors determine the MPG of any car & everyone drives their cars differently . The car has been very reliable, not a single problem so far & very fun to drive & i would recommend one if you are looking for a small , nippy fun drive & to me it is very reminiscent of the original mini , corners well & it has a real fun factor & she can shift but its not an ST or GTI . I read a review that described the SR as a warm hatch as standard & not modified & i think that is very true , Hope this helps .

Cheers OV. That's all very helpful. The only thing that is stopping me buying it at the moment is the high miles on the car but I know these cars have chains and can do very high mileages. What's the mileage on yours when you purchase it?
