Interesting, will follow this.... Rather surprised to see that a 2007 K12 needs a timing chain change, was under the impression that by early 2005 all K12's had the uprated chain which didn't stretch? What is the mileage?

Managed to get a new boot carpet, and glovebox from local scrappy, as latch had broken

Fitted a sony head unit as the standard one had bricked

Put it in for an mot, failed on a headlight bulb misaligned, rear shock leaking and two front tyres (which i knew at the outset)

Attempted to fit a new shock today but the part from euro car parts didn't fit

Also fitted a new fuel flap as old one was broken off. Managed to get same colour too.

Just need a new drivers seat of this pattern if anyone knows of anything going? Theres a tear at the bolster

Hey and welcome to msc. I'm sure you will find plenty of guides and support from users here.
Timing chain is a big job I'm sure its well worth the effort because the k12 micra is such a nice motor.
And the activ is a great example of this series.

Its done 103k, but I think the issue has been a lack of servicing by the previous owners. Doesn't appear to have had a service in a good few years. Yet it runs silently once warmed up

Thanks, i was pleasantly surprised just how good the micra was. A great handler and nippy too.

My own daily driver is a JCW Mini, so my standards are quite high too!

Heres a pic of the microswitch and new plastic plate that i made to fix the bootlid handle. Not a great photo sorry. Should do better than the standard one....

Almost back together, need more gearbox oil, and new bolts for exhaust downpipe to manifold.

Anyway, started it up and code P0123 and P0223 which are both from the TPS saying the voltage detected is too high.

Have i plugged something in the wrong place, or do i need to do the relearn procedure stated here:

https://www.micra.org.uk/threads/ha...al-position-or-throttle-valve-position.66422/

I did clean the throttle body whilst it was off the car as it was fairly dirty.

Thanks
R
