貝莎 Bertha

So I decided it was time to get my first road legal car I've had other cars/projects (Mk2 Fiesta/Corsa B) but decided it was time to get a nice little jap car for the road. After a few weeks of searching and the third car I looked at on the day I managed to get a 2000 k11 facelift 1.0 s for £400 which I have decided to called Bertha on the 1/5/15.

She runs great and is now rust free! :D

She looks great mate always liked the 2000-2002 2nd FL style and she's a 3 door S, really like what you did with the front bumper, she would look good with some front fogs!

Nice project please keep us updated and thanks for sharing!
Andy :D

Thanks @Andy5077 I was thinking about fogs how much do they go for normally?

I'll keep you up to date.

Thinking about painting the grills satin black to match everything else instead of the shiny chrome  but still abit unsure lol.

Decided to do spark plugs after work last night ( went for NGK) and it turns out the last owner didn't even have them in tight enough. One of them was really loose and coilpack + itself were full of soot ( Hopefully it hasn't damaged anything )

Put a pipercross sports filter in your standard box, no need to change anything, straight swap.Very good, and would recommend it to anyone.
Definitely more response on the throttle.
The Almera box allows more air into the system because its bigger. The pipercross does the same without having to change anything.

Was curious how clean she was after finding one of the spark plugs were loose so took her lid off. Pleased she looks pretty good thankfully :)

So my MOT is due in December so thought i'd start getting to work on Bertha before the lovely British winter comes.

To do list:
Crossmember = Done
R/H trackrod = Done
R/H ball joint = Done (changed full arm its easier)
Both Outer C.V boots = To do ( Bought them just finding time )
Handbrake adjustment = To do

I'm going to paint the under body, arches & sills with anti rust under body paint to prevent the bad weather attacking bertha and making her rust.
