    Ball joint replacements

Ok on my K11 the balljoint is pressed in but the surrounding metal is also folded over. It CANNOT be replaced on my particular example. :(

    Ball joint replacements

Yeh haven't found any decent suppliers for the wishbones here in Aus. Only Nissan who want my left testicle for them (read $250AUD for wishbone). My existing bushings are actually OK! Can't believe it but they're not cracking or anything. Perfect condition and I can barely manipulate them...

    Ball joint replacements

Hi fellas long time no see! I'm in the middle of pressing out my front bearings (turns out that you really shouldn't drive through water that is over the centre of the wheels... lol) and upon pulling it all apart I've noticed the FLH balljoint is a bit slack. Now I've been told by everyone...

    Strange noise

If his vehicle is Right hand drive this won't be the case as the expansion tank is on the left hand (passenger) side of the k11 engine bay?

    Gearbox Out

Dropping the gearbox in a K11 is actually really easy. its not really a tight operation at all. You just need a good socket set, some jack stands, good jack and some common sense. Oh and some big pry/lever bars to wiggle the gearbox and engine apart. ALso a pipe extension and breaker bar to undo...

***thinking of geting rid of my car***

Yeh saving money by going to an older car isnt always the brightest idea. Keep the K12 unless it starts to play up and prove unreliable.. :)

When it floods - best way of starting up again

I fixed this issue. I had leaking injectors. Replaced them with some second hand injectors which werent leaking and yay. No more problems.

    185/50/R14 or 195/45/R14

Going with a wider tyre CAN make the handling worse. If the sidewall is billowing out because the rim is not wide enough for the tread its kind of like driving on underinflated tyres. However the tread width differences between the 185 and 195 will be ###### all - it'll be more dependant on...

    Help!!

The haynes guide is exactly that, a guide. As you're in there you may notice some easier ways to do things. Yes you'll have to drop the oil from the gearbox and remove the driveshafts from the car completely (undo hub nuts). Not overly hard at all. About the hardest part will be levering the...

    Suspension Bolt Torque Settings

Haynes says 177nm for a k11 and considering it uses the same suspension design as what most fwd vehicle use (macpherson strut + single lower wishbone) it should be fine for the k12. If your torque wrench doesnt go that far just do them up to what you feel is over 100nm. Also if you have non...

    Help!!

Yes the LUK clutch will be fine - quality is always consistant with the LUK's. As for removing the gearbox and replacing the clutch - easy if you have a brain and don't follow the haynes (it is evil :P). The gearbox itself is pretty darn lightweight, shouldn't pose a problem to any non-geeky...

    Leaking Gearbox??

Nah not really. Regardless of mileage and use seals will still deteriorate. Infact a lack of use can cause them to deteriorate faster than usual.
