    Wanted: Steelies

Really well! It's getting back that was hard... I've been meaning to post a long thread on what happened, but I'm waiting to finish removing the dust from the pictures first (there was a dust spec on my sensor which is now on every single picture I've taken!!!). Proudest moment for the micra...

Biggest size battery in a K11?

Matt, thanks for the offer, but I really want to fit a brand new (bosch) battery in this case. Given that what it'll go through, I'm trying to keep anything I change with new parts. (that made no sense grammatically.. hey, it's late and I'm still working. )

    I give up! What's the stock battery? 048 or 158? (facelift k11, 2001, 1.0l)

Biggest size battery in a K11?

Bringing that back up (nope, still not sorted) The bosch S5 004 (61 400 060) seems to be perfect, 242x175x175mm, and is 61Ah rated... where's the catch?

How to remove rear heater/hazard light switch on K11.....

I also trawled around their site some more - they have other "types" of LEDs, long skinny ones, that may be a better fit. Ordered a few, will report back.

How to remove rear heater/hazard light switch on K11.....

LEDs arrived over the weekend (ordered only 2). I fitted one, and lost the other under the seats, the looks really good compared to the standard grain-of-wheat filament bulbs! The only issue I faced is that the second "amber" bulb in the rear demister seems to have a very small hole, so I may...

    Wanted: Steelies

frank - funny you mention that. My previous car is sitting somewhere outside Timbuktu (by my guesstimates, we were about 80 miles out) with two bent wishbones :p (well, technically one bent one and one "unbent" one - there's a lot you can do with a car jack, including unbending wishbones) Ok...

Biggest size battery in a K11?

You're a legend, you know that right? I somehow forgot about the diesel option entirely (after fitting pretty much the entire suspension from a diesel :p ) Now just need to find out what battery the diesel had, time to call ecp (again :p they must hate me by now)

what did you do to your micra today ?

Refitted the sump guard with an extra set of 4mm brackets to give it more strength Fitted nightbreaker bulbs Sorted out the wiring for the roof lights More sponsor stickers (yay sponsors!) Ordered new windscreen (and tyres, and rims, Thanks Matt!) Still todo: * flush coolant (maybe buy new...

Biggest size battery in a K11?

Resurrecting an old thread... I'm gonna measure the tray tonight, but if anyone knows the size that would be great! I'm looking at fitting a larger battery to run spotlights at night with the engine off... yes, I should fit a second battery and a split charge system, but that's a pain in the...

    What battery?

Saw it; and was tempted... but I really want to fit something brand new (and ideally, higher capacity). We'll be draining/charging it a lot (you've seen the 7 spotlights on my car :p ).

    What battery?

I need to fit a new battery, partly tempted to fit an exide 075 (60ah) as it'll be the backup for quite a lot of lights... Not sure if it'll fit. I need to measure though. Ideas/suggestions on brands/models?

    Wanted: Steelies

Frank, this was taken on one of the Saharan rallies I did a while back. This was the only repairable wheel that got bent by potholes, all the others we couldn't sort out. To give you an idea of the roads that create this sort of damage, this was the "new" "highway" between Mauri and Mali...

    Wanted: Steelies

Matt - thanks, that would be very appreciated! Frank - again, you're right, but if the steelies bend/buckle (inevitable) then I'm pretty screwed if I don't have enough spares... you can only hammer them out that many times...
