The oil is the damping medium, it's sole purpose is to slow the action of the shock absorber down, if all the oil has leaked from it then it will still drive without damaging any other parts, but the lack of damping fluid will dramatically alter the performance of the suspension and brakes, you...

the ball joint and lower arm are a pressed fit and an absolute b###ger to split, far better to replace the whole arm, the rubber bushes can be removed and replaced though.

iirc they are 11mm, god knows why though.

The electrics are a major failing on all Lancias, the wiring goes very brittle with age and tends to throw up all sorts of electrical problems that are incredibly hard to trace, having said that they are a nice car, Antony's right, a GT4 is a better car, but there are some good classic turbo...
