The might sound like a wild thought but if you do go down the road of buying parts for it, you could get scrapper pretty cheap. That way you could not only swap parts in diagnosis but use the working one for test reference points.
This is what I am planning to do, incase i get the same problem...
Just wondering if any of you fellow people had come across a k11 that won't engage 5th gear?
It is not a biggy to be honest as i am just looking at another micra for spares. This one is a bit dented also so should be ideal !
It has 7 months mot everything else seems to be in order...
Just put my 2001 k11 through the mot.
I found two minute holes in the in the sill, I had welded up for £50 and changed the tail light bulb.
Sailed through the MOt with just an advisory on getting the front brake pads changed in near future.
Another year ahead of trouble free motoring for peanuts !
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for some sort of alarm system for a k11?
As the locks don't seem to be that jimmy proof on the micra, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a mobile type of alarm that would fit into the car, without too much hard wiring as the car is nearly eighteen...
