They can get really horrible - I did one of mine recently and had to cut out and replace a large chunk of the rear inner and outer sills plus front of rear arches. Took me ridiculous amount of time.
Ok Baz will have another look this evening.
I would suspect if your measuring less than 1v at pin 47 same as me and 4.6v at solenoid end then there's a bad connection or a break somewhere
Ok just had another look at mine and if I unplug the solenoid I measure about 350mv at both the ECU pin and the solenoid plug. I don't have long enough leads at home to check if the ECU pin is connected directly to solenoid but I would guess your right and it is.
I guess the 12+V will come from...
The fast idle on mine has always been a bit intermittent :(
Just had a quick look at it and can't make much sense.
I measure about 750mv on pin 47 but it doesn't change with fan & lights.
Measured the voltage on the fast idle valve connector (the 2 pin one if I've got it right) and I have got...
That leads not nice! I'd check your exhaust manifold is sealing ok and there are no cracks in it.
Listen for a 'tick tick' noise from escaping gasses around the manifold. Have a look for any signs of black soot around it, but as its been run so little you may not see any even if it has been...
Hi Baz, can't pm you.
Can you just clarify what you mean by full inlet manifold please
If its complete with injectors, fuel rail and throttle body then I'll have it.
Thanks.
Have a check of the spring at the bottom of the gear lever that pulls it towards centre when in neutral. Especially if it's more of a doing that a bong :)
kapri talking about checking the basics I remember seeing something about a problem with the two wire connections on top of the battery positive terminal corroding.
If you don't mind butchering your loom you can test the coil by cutting through the insulation on the wire to the coil that...
